Junior Ross Gechie started racing in 2001, with the Melton Olympic CC. His background is mountain bike racing, and picked up numerous podium places in national-level events in his first season. Last year he started riding on the road, and was third junior in his regional championships, and also third in the midlands cyclo-cross championships. His first race in Api colours was the Bradgate Christmas handicap, where he finished in an excellent 8th place. Gechie aims to build on his road-racing experience in 2003!
